Responsibilities

As a PCB and Cable Assembler, you will play a critical role in the production process, ensuring that all assemblies meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs) and cable harnesses according to technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Soldering components onto PCBs with precision and accuracy, adhering to industry standards.
  • Inspecting and testing completed assemblies to ensure functionality and compliance with quality standards.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting assembly issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborating with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
  • Documenting assembly processes and maintaining accurate records of completed work.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience in PCB assembly, cable assembly, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques, including through-hole and surface-mount technology (SMT).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Familiarity with electronic components and their functions.
  • Basic understanding of testing equipment and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Day-to-Day

Your typical day as a PCB and Cable Assembler will involve:

  • Reviewing work orders and preparing materials for assembly.
  • Carefully assembling PCBs and cable harnesses, ensuring all components are correctly placed and secured.
  • Conducting quality checks and testing assemblies to verify performance.
  • Addressing any issues identified during testing and making necessary adjustments.
  • Communicating with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM
