We are recruiting for a permanent CNC Setter Operator for a global precision engineering company based in Christchurch, Dorset.
Salary is £17 per hour depending on experience.
37 hours per week Monday to Friday
Main duties and responsibilities:
- To correctly set the CNC machine and tooling and to operate CNC machines to process the part to the required specifications
- To machine parts to agreed specifications and to customer requirements using detailed drawings, layouts and other technical information provided
- To ensure machines are fit for purpose by performing routine maintenance according to approved methods
- Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection using gauges and measuring instruments
- To ensure the work area conforms to the company 5S standards by returning tooling to specified storage areas and to remove waste appropriately
