We are recruiting for Factory Labourers for a global manufacturing company in Lymington, Hampshire.
Salary:From £11.44per hour with progression opportunities and rising once training is completed.
Overtime available at x1.5 after 37.5 hours during the week and Saturday.
X 2 for Sunday and bank holidays.
Hours / Rotating Shift pattern:
*Early Finish on Friday*
Week 1
Mon - Thurs 06:00-14:00 Fri 06:00-11:00
Week 2
Mon - Thurs 14:00 - 22:00 Fri 11:00-16:00
Main purpose of the job:
- Manufacture of boxes to support the extruder floor production.
- Ensure all raw materials are stored in the correct places and in a safe and secure manner.
- Actively assist in improving the extruder floor operations by being proactive in day-to-day operations, making recommendations and embracing a teamwork culture.
- To achieve the tasks set within agreed time and effectively communicating progress to others.
- Participation in company wide and specific continuous improvement activities.
Specific responsibilities and activities:
- Create and print the required amount of computer-generated labels.
- Label, create and distribute the required amount of flanges to aid in continuous production.
- Assess material requirements for the shift and organise receipt of materials from the appropriate stores area.
- Store materials in the appropriate places ensuring they are given to the extruder operators as and when required.
- Assist with machine changeovers, ensuring the correct materials and dies are in place and cleaned.
- Remove completed shop order and pallets from the immediate work station an ensue they are accompanied by the appropriate paperwork.
- Keep working area clean and tidy, free from obstruction.
- Recording personal daily activity information.
- Reporting of machine defects, or perceived defects to the production team leader.
