We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Field Service engineer for a company forms part of the largest privately-owned Diesel and Petrol Engineering organisations in the United Kingdom.
Salary:
Starting salary between £28k to £32k per annum depending on experience.
Room for progression and salary reviews.
Hours:
Standard times 08:00 to 16:30
40 hour week with overtime, travelling time included
The Role:
You will be required to diagnose both electrical and mechanical faults and carry out necessary remedial repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of diesel engine makes including: Volvo Penta, FPT, Kubota, mtu, Mercedes, Detroit Diesel, Diesel Generators and Allison Automatic On-Highway & Off-Highway Transmissions in a range of applications across the south coast or surrounding areas.
- Hampshire, West Sussex, greater London, Surrey area
- Experience with diesel or petrol engines
- Diagnose, report and repair of engine related issues at customers sites
- Sites vary from generator rooms, marine, railway, plant machinery, off highway equipment, road vehicles
- Have confidence to follow electrical diagrams and trace electrical faults with engine control equipment
- Factory training given for individual engine makes and types
- Enjoys a challenge
